"Don't forget to set up your shipping costs in system.io."

What are shipping costs?
If you are an e-merchant, you are undoubtedly aware that shipping costs are an integral part of your business. But if you are new to the world of online sales, you may be wondering exactly what these costs are.
That's why I've decided to give you a quick summary of what you need to know about shipping costs in systeme.io!
Shipping costs are the fees you will have to pay to send your products to your customers. These costs can be calculated in different ways:
Depending on the weight or volume of the products, the distance to be traveled, or the delivery service chosen (for example, express delivery generally costs more than standard delivery).
It is important to clearly define your shipping costs, as they can influence the final price of your products and therefore your customers' purchasing decisions. If your shipping costs are too high, your customers may be tempted to turn to another e-merchant.
That's why I advise you to find a good balance between shipping costs and the price of your products.
In conclusion, shipping costs are the fees you will have to pay to send your products to your customers. They are calculated based on weight, volume, distance, or the delivery service chosen.
You need to clearly define your shipping costs so as not to discourage your customers and find a good balance between these costs and the price of your products.

How are shipping costs managed in systeme.io?
So, how can I put this?
That's the whole problem, because shipping costs are not managed in the io system.
As a result, you cannot configure any settings, let alone automatically calculate shipping costs based on your customer's address.
I know that this is problematic if you sell physical products, so I will suggest a solution below.
It is important to understand that, initially, systeme.io is designed more for coaches, consultants, trainers, etc..
In short, for jobs that are more digital and don't involve physical delivery. However, the tool is improving rapidly, so we can hopefully expect something in the coming years. 🙂

Offer free shipping?
Why not offer free shipping to your prospects?
I know you're confused reading this.^^
That's normal, you're an entrepreneur and you want to charge as much as possible for everything to generate revenue.
I understand you perfectly...
However, just think about it for a second—there are lots of websites that offer free shipping, and it's pretty much become the norm now. When I order something, I expect to get free shipping...
That's normal when you're a customer!
So, I suggest you offer free shipping BUT emphasize it. You need to make it a marketing argument that will make your prospects want to buy. It's not enough to say "shipping is included," NOOOO!!
If you do that, you're not turning the disadvantage into an advantage for yourself, you're just saying what almost all websites say...
On the other hand, if you say something like, "Not only do you need my product, BUT I'm also offering free shipping because I want to help you clean your garden like a pro." Then you're giving the prospect something extra, and that's a powerful trigger for making a purchase.
If I have a choice between two almost identical offers, I'll take this one because it "speaks to me" better, it puts me "at the center of the game," I feel that the company "wants what's best for me" and isn't just trying to sell me something...
You see what I mean? It's not much work for you, but it completely changes a business!

The solution for configuring shipping costs in systeme.io
For the moment, since it is not possible to configure shipping costs in system.io, I can only offer you this one solution:
Include your shipping costs in your initial price.
You know when you set the price for your offer. For example, if you want to sell your offer for $50, you'll set your price at $60 or $70. It's up to you to figure out roughly how much shipping will cost you.
Yes, it's not ideal, it's just approximate, but hey, it's good enough to work with after all.^^'
Then, as System.io is evolving rapidly, perhaps something will be done in this regard.

Great website, really good advice about shipping costs.
However, if you can help me add a comment section like this one to my website, that would be really nice.
Hello Tedff,
Thank you, that's always nice to hear!^^
Unfortunately, on system.io, you can't add a comment section like this one by default. I built this site with WordPress, and I regret it almost every day. ^^'
In reality, there are few comments, so I suggest you don't even bother creating a comment area (you'll be wasting your time).
Now, what I do is I tell people in my articles to send me a message via the contact page, and that's it.^^
But if you really want a comment section on System.io, you'll have to add it manually with code. You can find coders on platforms such as Come Up, Fiver, Malt, etc. I don't recommend this because, once again, you'll waste time. You should focus on your blog posts instead.
